Life is a bowl full of cherries.
Or is it a chair full of bowlies? I always get that mixed up.
But wait a minute…..that means that life is all good, right? That would mean I would wear a size 6 and never get hangnails. It would mean that my kids would never be sassy and always do their math and chores without complaining. It would mean that I like house work and would cheerfully plan and execute healthy gourmet meals every night. It would mean that we’d all stop aging and never die. It would mean that Clara would once and for all be house-trained.
I don’t think life is a bowl full of cherries after all.

But I don’t think it’s just the pits either.

Yes, it’s kind of a mix all right. Just when you think you have things figured out you hit a bump!
Hmmm… I think it depends where you buy your cherries. My bowlful is pretty good, but then I bite into a few a go eeww. Very my life-like!!!
Life is like a bowlful of cherries bought at Wal-Mart!!!
Oh yeah, Susan. I should have clarified that….you HAVE to buy your cherries at Costco!
Life IS a bowl of cherries as long as I have a bowl of cherries! YUM! But alas, there is no Costco near me.
Life is such a bowl full of cherries: delicious as you eat each moment, and when you are done savoring the sweet mouthfulls, the pits grow into wonderfully “cherry” times.
Well now, Crossview, that IS the pits!
Hmmm well since the only cherries I like are the ones that Sonic puts on my shake then I don’t get the pits…LOL yes, I live in my own little fantasy world
Life is like a bowl of cherries…. pits and all…
Not get out and read the books that you told me you haven’t read yet…heathen!!
“it would mean that Clara would once and for all be house trained”
… cracking up… LOL
thanks for the comment! I thought I’d come by and say hello. I’m gonna link to this ‘new’ site if it’s ok.
love jess
Hmmm! Now if I had only bought those cherries the other day. Yummy! Life is a mix of ups and downs just like those pits in cherries.
Blessings,
Dawn
Kellie! I didn’t know you had a blog…or perhaps I did and totally forgot. I love it…now I have a new place to come look for recipes and laughs. I will tell my daddio you said hey…yep, he got remarried about 5 years ago to an English teacher from here in Knoxville…she is great! Later tater
but the pits, you know, contain the promise of many, many more cherries. That’s hope.
