Mommas, Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to Play Baseball.

Especially in white pants.  Geez Louise, would you look at all that mess?!

And you wonder why we call him Dirty Harry (besides the fact that he often tries to bathe without using soap).  Is that mustard?

I have to get to the bottom of this.

Oh my.

I might not have these woes, if Harrison didn’t feel it necessary to slide into every base to which he runs.  In the very few games he has not had the opportunity to slide, as soon as the game is over and they’ve all shaken hands, he slides.  For no reason other than to haunt my existence with dirt, grime and sweat.

Why do they make white pants for Little League anyway?  Whoever thought that up needs to be drawn and quartered.  Well, okay…maybe nothing quite so severe.  How about slapped around a little?  Or maybe they just need to buy every mother a lifetime supply of this…

…because it’s the only thing I know of that makes him look like this again…

Let it be known that immediately after the snapping of this photo, he slid.  That little sucker.

Ah yes, thank the Lord for OxyClean! Ethan wanted some of the boys’ cherry icee from the zoo on Saturday. We put a bit into his sippy cup for the ride home. Someone (I’m not mentioning any names, but it was the other adult in our party) didn’t screw the lid on tight enough and red icee leaked out ALL OVER E’s white shirt.
I soaked it over night in Oxy and it’s good as new!

That’s the Major, too! Last night he slid into home plate (in a t-ball game where score is never kept) and took out his teammate who was three steps ahead of him. She never saw him coming. She never heard him coming. One second she was stepping on home plate and the next second she was on her butt, shooting the boy some incredibly angry looks for a six year old girl. I need to teach him to take out the catcher on a play at the plate, not his own third baseman! Try Clorox bleach pens. They work great on baseball pants (the major), coffee stains (mine), spaghetti sauce (the girl) and all stains boy scout (the General). The Boss remains amazingly clean.
