I had something completely different in mind to post today, but it was actually going to take a bit more of my brain than I have access to this morning. I think I’m running on about 30% right now, although I’m halfway through with my coffee, so I may be reaching 35% shortly.
Last night Cap’n Jack Henry woke up at about 10:30, when I was heading to bed and decided to stay up until almost 1:00 for no other reason than to chew on my pajama shirt and watch the last episode of “Lost”, season 4. It was a brutal two hours….both here in my house and on that island.
I think he was a tad wound up from having watched President Obama’s address earlier in the evening. He could hardly take his eyes off the television, and every time the crowd clapped, he clapped too. I would firmly try to hold his excited hands and say, “No, no Jack Henry. We do not clap about universal health care.” But it was to no avail. He still clapped. He still watched. And then later he had night terrors.
Poor baby. Poor me.
So, my picture thought for the day is this….

…how can someone so cute be so mean at 12:30 in the morning?

Because they can. Yes, I recall those days all too well. I believe I wrote about a few of them. I grok.

I am half-zombie mom today and it has nothing to do with my kids! I just didn’t sleep well last night and I’m paying for Brady’s awful coffee yesterday. Weak hot coffee makes extra horribly weak iced coffee! I’m stopping at Starbucks for a pumpkin spice when we head out for errands today!
Tell JH “NOBAMA!” But he’s still cute and I love him anyway!
You ALWAYS make me smile, you are just too funny!

We need to live closer. I’d have come by with my sweet, late night magpie and we could have plunked ‘em in a pack-n-play together!!!
It’s 3:00am and Lil is singing to me. Sweet, but REALLY, is that necessary??!! We were up quite a bit as well… zombie’ism today, too. Always good to know I’m in great company!!!
Had a labor pt the other day who, after getting her epidural, popped in season 1 of LOST and watched until it was time to deliver. (That, my friends, is a good epidural. One minute Sawyer is being sassy, the next a baby is popping out!!!) Needless to say, I spent a lot of time in her room!!!

You never fail to crack me right up. Although I’m very sorry to hear that our leaders gave the baby night terrors. They doe that to me sometimes too.
