The Winner…Finally.

I am a moron.  A very busy moron.  Yesterday I got busy teaching about the Pilgrims, possessive nouns, and the planets (Huh…look at that….all P’s!).  At one point I was neck deep in some homemade chicken and dumplings.  I also fed a baby nine times.  The rest of my time I spent avoiding folding the two loads of laundry that are draped across a chest in my bedroom for the fourth day in a row.  And I forgot about my contest.  Again.  Sorry.

So before Big D left for work this morning, I enlisted his help to pick a winner.

First, I put the entries inside his Titan’s hat because the Lord knows they need to be associated with winning in some way, shape or form.

Then Big D reached in to pick the winner.

Then I told him to stop because I wanted to video tape it.

I’m glad she won.  I think she’s faithfully entered every contest I’ve held, and she’s never won once.

Congratulations Debbles!  I’ll send your prize off shortly!

Yay, if Debbie managed to win, that means my time is coming!!! :) K, so I know I didn’t enter, but since we already have two, er three, coming our way I figured I’d let this contest slide!!!

Good to catch up with your blog. Missed it last week! (You know it’s a good thing when I type in “the” and thepiratemom.com pops up before thepioneerwoman.com!!!)(Took the computer a LONG time to figure out I’m not going there so much anymore!!!)

    Happy Day to you all!!

The question is, how many other pieces of paper had her name on them? Or was this one taped to the bottom of the hat? Can you tell which reader grew up watching Chicago elections? Just teasing…congratulations debbie!

YEAH!!! I won! Braden will be ecstatic! Brady, however, might not be so happy! He thinks saving quarters for posterity is wasting money! :)

  4. admin says:

Actually, two pieces of paper had her name on it because she posted about the contest on facebook. = )

And, Debbie, Harrison was so excited about you all winning that he wants to help in the quarter collecting. So we will touch base about what states you have and what we have. Oh, and Harrison was playing around with the entry pieces later this morning and pulled one out, and it was “Debbie” also….so it was destiny for you to win. Tell Brady it now counts for geography and not just posterity. $12.50 is cheap for a geography curriculum.

Congratulations Debbie! I just found out about this yesterday as I was catching up on your blog from being gone. Fun!!!

Did you post about the flashlights yet???

  6. admin says:

No, Amy, sorry. I’m waiting on YOUR BROTHER to once and for all get his pictures edited and blog-ready. He has told me many stories about the fate of the flashlights, but I’ve yet to see any pictures myself…. = (
