1.  Are you really a pirate?

      Umm, no.

2.  Do you always wear that much eyeliner and what kind do you recommend for piracy?

     Umm, no.

     Revlon Colorstay in brown/black.  It’s what all the pirates are wearing nowadays.

3.  How long have you been blogging?

    I began my older blog in July of 2006

4.  Wow…that’s a long time!  You must really know what you’re doing, right?

     Umm, no.

5.  What’s it like being the mother of a teenager, an elementary school kid and a baby, all at the same time?

    Nice.  Crazy.  Busy. 

6.  How do you find the time to maintain this blog?

    Umm, no.

7.  How long have you and Big D been married?

    Our anniversary is July, 13, 1991….you do the math.

8.  How did you start homeschooling?

    One day in November of 2001, I sat Annaleigh down with a pencil, a box of crayons and some worksheets I had printed from the InterNet and told her it was the first day of kindergarten.

9.  Really?!

    Yes.

10.  What is your favorite food?

    Guacamole….or if I don’t feel like throwing it all together then just the avocados.

11.  Is Harrison (AKA Dirty Harry) really dirty?

     Yes, I’d say about 50% of the time.  Maybe 60%.

12.  Where did Annaleigh (AKA Bonny Annie) get her red hair and freckles?

     From God.  If you’re wondering about the genetics involved, my dad had red hair (more of the carrot variety, though) before he went bald back in the 1970s (I actually don’t ever remember him having anything but just the fringe hair), and he is very freckled.  Big D’s dad has auburn hair and some freckles.  Big D has auburn facial hair.

13.  Is Cap’n Jack Henry the cutest, sweetest baby in the world?

     Yes.

14.  What kind of dog is Clara?

     A Boston terrier bulldog

15.  Is she well-trained?

     You’re supposed to train them?

16.  Who is Indiana Mimi?

    My mother.  She is not a pirate.

17.  Why is she called ‘Indiana Mimi’?

    Actually she is only called this here on my blog.  I call her mom, and my kids call her mimi.  One day I posted a picture of her on my old blog holding a whip (long story), and I called her Indiana Mimi, and it stuck.  She was raised in Indiana though.

18.  Why do you blog?

    Because I like to.  It’s tons of fun…you should try it.

19.  Do you use Facebook?

    Actually, I think Facebook uses me.  I loooooooove me some Facebook.  Look me up and “friend” me.

20.  Who is your hero?

    Jesus Christ….He looked past my black heart and saved my cruddy soul.
